| CVE-2017-11552 | 1 Underbit | 1 Mad Libmad | 2025-04-20 | N/A |
| mpg321.c in mpg321 0.3.2-1 does not properly manage memory for use with libmad 0.15.1b, which allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (memory corruption seen in a crash in the mad_decoder_run function in decoder.c in libmad) via a crafted MP3 file. | ||||
| CVE-2017-17814 | 2 Canonical, Nasm | 2 Ubuntu Linux, Netwide Assembler | 2025-04-20 | N/A |
| In Netwide Assembler (NASM) 2.14rc0, there is a use-after-free in do_directive in asm/preproc.c that will cause a remote denial of service attack. | ||||
| CVE-2017-16671 | 1 Digium | 2 Asterisk, Certified Asterisk | 2025-04-20 | N/A |
| A Buffer Overflow issue was discovered in Asterisk Open Source 13 before 13.18.1, 14 before 14.7.1, and 15 before 15.1.1 and Certified Asterisk 13.13 before 13.13-cert7. No size checking is done when setting the user field for Party B on a CDR. Thus, it is possible for someone to use an arbitrarily large string and write past the end of the user field storage buffer. NOTE: this is different from CVE-2017-7617, which was only about the Party A buffer. | ||||
| CVE-2016-9298 | 1 Imagemagick | 1 Imagemagick | 2025-04-20 | N/A |
| Heap overflow in the WaveletDenoiseImage function in MagickCore/fx.c in ImageMagick before 6.9.6-4 and 7.x before 7.0.3-6 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (crash) via a crafted image. | ||||
| CVE-2017-15046 | 1 Lame Project | 1 Lame | 2025-04-20 | 5.5 Medium |
| LAME 3.99.5, 3.99.4, 3.98.4, 3.98.2, 3.98 and 3.97 have a stack-based buffer overflow in unpack_read_samples in frontend/get_audio.c, a different vulnerability than CVE-2017-9412. | ||||
| CVE-2017-15650 | 1 Musl-libc | 1 Musl | 2025-04-20 | N/A |
| musl libc before 1.1.17 has a buffer overflow via crafted DNS replies because dns_parse_callback in network/lookup_name.c does not restrict the number of addresses, and thus an attacker can provide an unexpected number by sending A records in a reply to an AAAA query. | ||||
| CVE-2016-4973 | 1 Gnu | 1 Libssp | 2025-04-20 | N/A |
| Binaries compiled against targets that use the libssp library in GCC for stack smashing protection (SSP) might allow local users to perform buffer overflow attacks by leveraging lack of the Object Size Checking feature. | ||||
| CVE-2016-7934 | 2 Redhat, Tcpdump | 2 Enterprise Linux, Tcpdump | 2025-04-20 | N/A |
| The RTCP parser in tcpdump before 4.9.0 has a buffer overflow in print-udp.c:rtcp_print(). | ||||

| CVE-2017-1000254 | 2 Haxx, Redhat | 3 Libcurl, Jboss Core Services, Rhel Software Collections | 2025-04-20 | N/A |
| libcurl may read outside of a heap allocated buffer when doing FTP. When libcurl connects to an FTP server and successfully logs in (anonymous or not), it asks the server for the current directory with the `PWD` command. The server then responds with a 257 response containing the path, inside double quotes. The returned path name is then kept by libcurl for subsequent uses. Due to a flaw in the string parser for this directory name, a directory name passed like this but without a closing double quote would lead to libcurl not adding a trailing NUL byte to the buffer holding the name. When libcurl would then later access the string, it could read beyond the allocated heap buffer and crash or wrongly access data beyond the buffer, thinking it was part of the path. A malicious server could abuse this fact and effectively prevent libcurl-based clients to work with it - the PWD command is always issued on new FTP connections and the mistake has a high chance of causing a segfault. The simple fact that this has issue remained undiscovered for this long could suggest that malformed PWD responses are rare in benign servers. We are not aware of any exploit of this flaw. This bug was introduced in commit [415d2e7cb7](https://github.com/curl/curl/commit/415d2e7cb7), March 2005. In libcurl version 7.56.0, the parser always zero terminates the string but also rejects it if not terminated properly with a final double quote. | ||||
