CVE-2026-79705 1 Redhat 7 Ansible Automation Platform, Container Native Virtualization, Enterprise Linux and 4 more 2026-10-02 4.5 Medium
A flaw was found in the buildah/copier Go package. When used outside of Buildah by a non-root caller, a crafted tar archive containing malicious symlinks can escape the target extraction directory and create files outside the intended destination. Buildah itself uses chroot hardening and is not affected.
CVE-2026-88265 1 Redhat 4 Enterprise Linux, Hardened Images, Hummingbird and 1 more 2026-10-02 5.6 Medium
A flaw was found in crun. After pivot_root, reopening /dev/null for stdio can follow a symlink and attach a host file to container stdio, then change that file's ownership. Affected versions are crun 1.29.1 and earlier. Default configurations that mount a fresh /dev are not exposed. No fixed release is available yet.
CVE-2026-84233 1 Redhat 3 Enterprise Linux, Hardened Images, Hummingbird 2026-10-02 7 High
A flaw was found in rpm. A local attacker could supply a specially crafted `.gem` filename containing RPM macro syntax. When a user or automated workflow invokes `rpmuncompress -x` on this file, the macro expansion occurs during command construction. This allows the attacker to execute arbitrary commands with the privileges of the invoking account, leading to a compromise of confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
CVE-2026-19617 1 Redhat 5 Enterprise Linux, Hardened Images, Hummingbird and 2 more 2026-10-02 5.5 Medium
A flaw was found in libdm. A local attacker could craft a malicious Logical Volume Manager (LVM) metadata configuration with deeply nested structures. This could lead to uncontrolled recursion in the libdm configuration file parser, exhausting the stack and causing any LVM command reading the metadata to crash. This vulnerability results in a Denial of Service (DoS) for affected systems.
CVE-2024-1635 2 Netapp, Redhat 26 Active Iq Unified Manager, Oncommand Workflow Automation, Amq Streams and 23 more 2026-10-02 7.5 High
A vulnerability was found in Undertow. This vulnerability impacts a server that supports the wildfly-http-client protocol. Whenever a malicious user opens and closes a connection with the HTTP port of the server and then closes the connection immediately, the server will end with both memory and open file limits exhausted at some point, depending on the amount of memory available. At HTTP upgrade to remoting, the WriteTimeoutStreamSinkConduit leaks connections if RemotingConnection is closed by Remoting ServerConnectionOpenListener. Because the remoting connection originates in Undertow as part of the HTTP upgrade, there is an external layer to the remoting connection. This connection is unaware of the outermost layer when closing the connection during the connection opening procedure. Hence, the Undertow WriteTimeoutStreamSinkConduit is not notified of the closed connection in this scenario. Because WriteTimeoutStreamSinkConduit creates a timeout task, the whole dependency tree leaks via that task, which is added to XNIO WorkerThread. So, the workerThread points to the Undertow conduit, which contains the connections and causes the leak.
CVE-2026-5419 2 Gnu, Redhat 13 Gnutls, Cert Manager, Discovery and 10 more 2026-10-02 3.7 Low
A flaw was found in gnutls. The PKCS#7 padding check, performed during decryption, was not constant-time. This timing side-channel could allow a remote attacker to potentially leak sensitive information about the padding bytes through observable timing differences. This vulnerability is a form of information disclosure.
CVE-2026-102010 2 Gnu, Redhat 6 Gcc, Enterprise Linux, Hardened Images and 3 more 2026-10-02 7 High
A flaw was found in GCC. When an application calls the erase_if function on a binary heap priority queue in libstdc++, the library reallocates storage but fails to update its internal entry pointer. An attacker capable of triggering this operation can exploit this use-after-free condition, leading to a Denial of Service (DoS) via an application crash or potential memory corruption.
CVE-2026-42015 1 Redhat 16 Cert Manager, Discovery, Enterprise Linux and 13 more 2026-10-02 5.3 Medium
A flaw was found in gnutls. An off-by-one error exists in the PKCS#12 bag element bounds check. This vulnerability allows an remote attacker to write past the internal array of a PKCS#12 bag when appending to a bag that already contains 32 elements. This memory corruption could lead to a denial of service (DoS) or potentially other unspecified impacts.
CVE-2026-42014 2 Gnu, Redhat 17 Gnutls, Cert Manager, Discovery and 14 more 2026-10-02 6.6 Medium
A flaw was found in GnuTLS. The `gnutls_pkcs11_token_set_pin` function, used for changing the Security Officer PIN, can lead to a use-after-free vulnerability. This occurs when an attacker attempts to change the PIN with a NULL old PIN for a token that lacks a protected authentication path.
CVE-2026-42013 2 Gnu, Redhat 17 Gnutls, Cert Manager, Discovery and 14 more 2026-10-02 8.2 High
A flaw was found in gnutls. When validating certificates, an oversized Subject Alternative Name (SAN) could cause the validation process to incorrectly fall back to checking the Common Name (CN) field. This could allow a remote attacker to bypass proper certificate validation, potentially leading to spoofing or man-in-the-middle attacks.
CVE-2026-42012 2 Gnu, Redhat 17 Gnutls, Cert Manager, Discovery and 14 more 2026-10-02 7.1 High
A flaw was found in gnutls. A remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability by presenting a specially crafted certificate that contains Uniform Resource Identifier (URI) or Service (SRV) Subject Alternative Names (SANs). This could cause the certificate validation process to incorrectly fall back to checking DNS hostnames against the Common Name (CN), potentially allowing the attacker to spoof legitimate services or intercept sensitive information.
CVE-2026-42011 1 Redhat 16 Cert Manager, Discovery, Enterprise Linux and 13 more 2026-10-02 7.4 High
A flaw was found in gnutls. This vulnerability occurs because permitted name constraints were incorrectly ignored when previous Certificate Authorities (CAs) only had excluded name constraints. A remote attacker could exploit this to bypass critical name constraint checks during certificate validation. This bypass could lead to the acceptance of invalid certificates, potentially enabling spoofing or man-in-the-middle attacks against affected systems.
CVE-2026-14164 3 Libarchive, Red Hat, Redhat 14 Libarchive, Enterprise Linux, Cert Manager and 11 more 2026-10-02 7.5 High
A double free issue has been identified in libarchive's RAR5 reader. During parsing of a specially crafted RAR5 archive, the filtered_buf pointer may remain stale after being freed during unpacking state reinitialization. Subsequent processing of another archive entry can trigger a second free of the same memory region, resulting in a double-free condition. Successful exploitation may cause applications using the vulnerable libarchive API to terminate unexpectedly, leading to a denial of service.
CVE-2026-5260 2 Gnu, Redhat 16 Gnutls, Cert Manager, Discovery and 13 more 2026-10-02 8.2 High
A flaw was found in libgnutls. A remote attacker, by sending an extremely short premaster secret during an RSA key exchange to a server using an RSA key backed by a PKCS#11 token, could trigger a short heap overread. This memory corruption vulnerability could lead to information disclosure.
