CVE-2025-21876 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-15 8.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: iommu/vt-d: Fix suspicious RCU usage Commit <d74169ceb0d2> ("iommu/vt-d: Allocate DMAR fault interrupts locally") moved the call to enable_drhd_fault_handling() to a code path that does not hold any lock while traversing the drhd list. Fix it by ensuring the dmar_global_lock lock is held when traversing the drhd list. Without this fix, the following warning is triggered: ============================= WARNING: suspicious RCU usage 6.14.0-rc3 #55 Not tainted ----------------------------- drivers/iommu/intel/dmar.c:2046 RCU-list traversed in non-reader section!! other info that might help us debug this: rcu_scheduler_active = 1, debug_locks = 1 2 locks held by cpuhp/1/23: #0: ffffffff84a67c50 (cpu_hotplug_lock){++++}-{0:0}, at: cpuhp_thread_fun+0x87/0x2c0 #1: ffffffff84a6a380 (cpuhp_state-up){+.+.}-{0:0}, at: cpuhp_thread_fun+0x87/0x2c0 stack backtrace: CPU: 1 UID: 0 PID: 23 Comm: cpuhp/1 Not tainted 6.14.0-rc3 #55 Call Trace: <TASK> dump_stack_lvl+0xb7/0xd0 lockdep_rcu_suspicious+0x159/0x1f0 ? __pfx_enable_drhd_fault_handling+0x10/0x10 enable_drhd_fault_handling+0x151/0x180 cpuhp_invoke_callback+0x1df/0x990 cpuhp_thread_fun+0x1ea/0x2c0 smpboot_thread_fn+0x1f5/0x2e0 ? __pfx_smpboot_thread_fn+0x10/0x10 kthread+0x12a/0x2d0 ? __pfx_kthread+0x10/0x10 ret_from_fork+0x4a/0x60 ? __pfx_kthread+0x10/0x10 ret_from_fork_asm+0x1a/0x30 </TASK> Holding the lock in enable_drhd_fault_handling() triggers a lockdep splat about a possible deadlock between dmar_global_lock and cpu_hotplug_lock. CVE-2025-21836 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-15 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: io_uring/kbuf: reallocate buf lists on upgrade IORING_REGISTER_PBUF_RING can reuse an old struct io_buffer_list if it was created for legacy selected buffer and has been emptied. It violates the requirement that most of the field should stay stable after publish. Always reallocate it instead.
CVE-2025-21808 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-15 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: xdp: Disallow attaching device-bound programs in generic mode Device-bound programs are used to support RX metadata kfuncs. These kfuncs are driver-specific and rely on the driver context to read the metadata. This means they can't work in generic XDP mode. However, there is no check to disallow such programs from being attached in generic mode, in which case the metadata kfuncs will be called in an invalid context, leading to crashes. Fix this by adding a check to disallow attaching device-bound programs in generic mode.

CVE-2024-58240 2 Debian, Linux 2 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel 2026-10-15 9.8 Critical
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tls: separate no-async decryption request handling from async If we're not doing async, the handling is much simpler. There's no reference counting, we just need to wait for the completion to wake us up and return its result. We should preferably also use a separate crypto_wait. I'm not seeing a UAF as I did in the past, I think aec7961916f3 ("tls: fix race between async notify and socket close") took care of it. This will make the next fix easier.
CVE-2024-58239 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-15 8.2 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tls: stop recv() if initial process_rx_list gave us non-DATA If we have a non-DATA record on the rx_list and another record of the same type still on the queue, we will end up merging them: - process_rx_list copies the non-DATA record - we start the loop and process the first available record since it's of the same type - we break out of the loop since the record was not DATA Just check the record type and jump to the end in case process_rx_list did some work.
CVE-2024-58237 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-15 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: consider that tail calls invalidate packet pointers Tail-called programs could execute any of the helpers that invalidate packet pointers. Hence, conservatively assume that each tail call invalidates packet pointers. Making the change in bpf_helper_changes_pkt_data() automatically makes use of check_cfg() logic that computes 'changes_pkt_data' effect for global sub-programs, such that the following program could be rejected: int tail_call(struct __sk_buff *sk) { bpf_tail_call_static(sk, &jmp_table, 0); return 0; } SEC("tc") int not_safe(struct __sk_buff *sk) { int *p = (void *)(long)sk->data; ... make p valid ... tail_call(sk); *p = 42; /* this is unsafe */ ... } The tc_bpf2bpf.c:subprog_tc() needs change: mark it as a function that can invalidate packet pointers. Otherwise, it can't be freplaced with tailcall_freplace.c:entry_freplace() that does a tail call.
CVE-2024-58100 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-15 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: check changes_pkt_data property for extension programs When processing calls to global sub-programs, verifier decides whether to invalidate all packet pointers in current state depending on the changes_pkt_data property of the global sub-program. Because of this, an extension program replacing a global sub-program must be compatible with changes_pkt_data property of the sub-program being replaced. This commit: - adds changes_pkt_data flag to struct bpf_prog_aux: - this flag is set in check_cfg() for main sub-program; - in jit_subprogs() for other sub-programs; - modifies bpf_check_attach_btf_id() to check changes_pkt_data flag; - moves call to check_attach_btf_id() after the call to check_cfg(), because it needs changes_pkt_data flag to be set: bpf_check: ... ... - check_attach_btf_id resolve_pseudo_ldimm64 resolve_pseudo_ldimm64 --> bpf_prog_is_offloaded bpf_prog_is_offloaded check_cfg check_cfg + check_attach_btf_id ... ... The following fields are set by check_attach_btf_id(): - env->ops - prog->aux->attach_btf_trace - prog->aux->attach_func_name - prog->aux->attach_func_proto - prog->aux->dst_trampoline - prog->aux->mod - prog->aux->saved_dst_attach_type - prog->aux->saved_dst_prog_type - prog->expected_attach_type Neither of these fields are used by resolve_pseudo_ldimm64() or bpf_prog_offload_verifier_prep() (for netronome and netdevsim drivers), so the reordering is safe.
CVE-2024-58098 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-15 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: track changes_pkt_data property for global functions When processing calls to certain helpers, verifier invalidates all packet pointers in a current state. For example, consider the following program: __attribute__((__noinline__)) long skb_pull_data(struct __sk_buff *sk, __u32 len) { return bpf_skb_pull_data(sk, len); } SEC("tc") int test_invalidate_checks(struct __sk_buff *sk) { int *p = (void *)(long)sk->data; if ((void *)(p + 1) > (void *)(long)sk->data_end) return TCX_DROP; skb_pull_data(sk, 0); *p = 42; return TCX_PASS; } After a call to bpf_skb_pull_data() the pointer 'p' can't be used safely. See function filter.c:bpf_helper_changes_pkt_data() for a list of such helpers. At the moment verifier invalidates packet pointers when processing helper function calls, and does not traverse global sub-programs when processing calls to global sub-programs. This means that calls to helpers done from global sub-programs do not invalidate pointers in the caller state. E.g. the program above is unsafe, but is not rejected by verifier. This commit fixes the omission by computing field bpf_subprog_info->changes_pkt_data for each sub-program before main verification pass. changes_pkt_data should be set if: - subprogram calls helper for which bpf_helper_changes_pkt_data returns true; - subprogram calls a global function, for which bpf_subprog_info->changes_pkt_data should be set. The verifier.c:check_cfg() pass is modified to compute this information. The commit relies on depth first instruction traversal done by check_cfg() and absence of recursive function calls: - check_cfg() would eventually visit every call to subprogram S in a state when S is fully explored; - when S is fully explored: - every direct helper call within S is explored (and thus changes_pkt_data is set if needed); - every call to subprogram S1 called by S was visited with S1 fully explored (and thus S inherits changes_pkt_data from S1). The downside of such approach is that dead code elimination is not taken into account: if a helper call inside global function is dead because of current configuration, verifier would conservatively assume that the call occurs for the purpose of the changes_pkt_data computation.
CVE-2024-57999 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-15 8.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: powerpc/pseries/iommu: IOMMU incorrectly marks MMIO range in DDW Power Hypervisor can possibily allocate MMIO window intersecting with Dynamic DMA Window (DDW) range, which is over 32-bit addressing. These MMIO pages needs to be marked as reserved so that IOMMU doesn't map DMA buffers in this range. The current code is not marking these pages correctly which is resulting in LPAR to OOPS while booting. CVE-2024-57875 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-15 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: block: RCU protect disk->conv_zones_bitmap Ensure that a disk revalidation changing the conventional zones bitmap of a disk does not cause invalid memory references when using the disk_zone_is_conv() helper by RCU protecting the disk->conv_zones_bitmap pointer. disk_zone_is_conv() is modified to operate under the RCU read lock and the function disk_set_conv_zones_bitmap() is added to update a disk conv_zones_bitmap pointer using rcu_replace_pointer() with the disk zone_wplugs_lock spinlock held. disk_free_zone_resources() is modified to call disk_update_zone_resources() with a NULL bitmap pointer to free the disk conv_zones_bitmap. disk_set_conv_zones_bitmap() is also used in disk_update_zone_resources() to set the new (revalidated) bitmap and free the old one.
CVE-2024-57849 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-15 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: s390/cpum_sf: Handle CPU hotplug remove during sampling CPU hotplug remove handling triggers the following function call sequence: CPUHP_AP_PERF_S390_SF_ONLINE --> s390_pmu_sf_offline_cpu() ... CPUHP_AP_PERF_ONLINE --> perf_event_exit_cpu() The s390 CPUMF sampling CPU hotplug handler invokes: s390_pmu_sf_offline_cpu() +--> cpusf_pmu_setup() +--> setup_pmc_cpu() +--> deallocate_buffers() This function de-allocates all sampling data buffers (SDBs) allocated for that CPU at event initialization. It also clears the PMU_F_RESERVED bit. The CPU is gone and can not be sampled. With the event still being active on the removed CPU, the CPU event hotplug support in kernel performance subsystem triggers the following function calls on the removed CPU: perf_event_exit_cpu() +--> perf_event_exit_cpu_context() +--> __perf_event_exit_context() +--> __perf_remove_from_context() +--> event_sched_out() +--> cpumsf_pmu_del() +--> cpumsf_pmu_stop() +--> hw_perf_event_update() to stop and remove the event. During removal of the event, the sampling device driver tries to read out the remaining samples from the sample data buffers (SDBs). But they have already been freed (and may have been re-assigned). This may lead to a use after free situation in which case the samples are most likely invalid. In the best case the memory has not been reassigned and still contains valid data. Remedy this situation and check if the CPU is still in reserved state (bit PMU_F_RESERVED set). In this case the SDBs have not been released an contain valid data. This is always the case when the event is removed (and no CPU hotplug off occured). If the PMU_F_RESERVED bit is not set, the SDB buffers are gone.

CVE-2024-57791 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-15 7.5 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/smc: check return value of sock_recvmsg when draining clc data When receiving clc msg, the field length in smc_clc_msg_hdr indicates the length of msg should be received from network and the value should not be fully trusted as it is from the network. This patch checks the return value of sock_recvmsg when draining data in case of deadloop in draining.

CVE-2024-56637 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-15 7.3 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: ipset: Hold module reference while requesting a module User space may unload ip_set.ko while it is itself requesting a set type backend module, leading to a kernel crash. The race condition may be provoked by inserting an mdelay() right after the nfnl_unlock() call.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: iommufd: Fix out_fput in iommufd_fault_alloc() As fput() calls the file->f_op->release op, where fault obj and ictx are getting released, there is no need to release these two after fput() one more time, which would result in imbalanced refcounts: refcount_t: decrement hit 0; leaking memory. CVE-2024-56549 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-15 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: cachefiles: Fix NULL pointer dereference in object->file At present, the object->file has the NULL pointer dereference problem in ondemand-mode. The root cause is that the allocated fd and object->file lifetime are inconsistent, and the user-space invocation to anon_fd uses object->file. Following is the process that triggers the issue: [write fd] [umount] cachefiles_ondemand_fd_write_iter fscache_cookie_state_machine cachefiles_withdraw_cookie if (!file) return -ENOBUFS cachefiles_clean_up_object cachefiles_unmark_inode_in_use fput(object->file) object->file = NULL // file NULL pointer dereference! __cachefiles_write(..., file, ...) Fix this issue by add an additional reference count to the object->file before write/llseek, and decrement after it finished.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nfs/blocklayout: Don't attempt unregister for invalid block device Since commit d869da91cccb ("nfs/blocklayout: Fix premature PR key unregistration") an unmount of a pNFS SCSI layout-enabled NFS may dereference a NULL block_device in: bl_unregister_scsi+0x16/0xe0 [blocklayoutdriver] bl_free_device+0x70/0x80 [blocklayoutdriver] bl_free_deviceid_node+0x12/0x30 [blocklayoutdriver] nfs4_put_deviceid_node+0x60/0xc0 [nfsv4] nfs4_deviceid_purge_client+0x132/0x190 [nfsv4] unset_pnfs_layoutdriver+0x59/0x60 [nfsv4] nfs4_destroy_server+0x36/0x70 [nfsv4] nfs_free_server+0x23/0xe0 [nfs] deactivate_locked_super+0x30/0xb0 cleanup_mnt+0xba/0x150 task_work_run+0x59/0x90 syscall_exit_to_user_mode+0x217/0x220 do_syscall_64+0x8e/0x160 This happens because even though we were able to create the nfs4_deviceid_node, the lookup for the device was unable to attach the block device to the pnfs_block_dev. If we never found a block device to register, we can avoid this case with the PNFS_BDEV_REGISTERED flag. Move the deref behind the test for the flag.
