CVE-2026-106456 2026-10-07 4.8 Medium
Backstage is an open framework for building developer portals. From 0.5.0 until 0.6.18, the @backstage/plugin-proxy-backend package is affected by inconsistent credential enforcement for overlapping proxy routes. An operator can configure overlapping proxy paths with different credential requirements. When a parent path permits unauthenticated access and a nested path requires credentials, the parent exemption can also cover requests handled by the nested proxy. An unauthenticated caller may therefore reach the nested upstream through Backstage, including with static upstream credentials configured for that proxy. This issue is fixed in version 0.6.18.
CVE-2026-103059 1 Gitea 1 Gitea 2026-10-07 9.1 Critical
When Gitea's built-in SSH server is enabled (`START_SSH_SERVER = true`), the presented public key was looked up with an SQL `LIKE` comparison of its encoded content, which is case-insensitive on some databases, including the default SQLite. An attacker who can construct a case variant of another user's registered RSA public key for which they can derive the private key could have that key matched to the victim's account and authenticate over SSH as that user. Keys are now looked up by fingerprint.
CVE-2026-92075 1 Mozilla 2 Firefox, Thunderbird 2026-10-05 9.1 Critical
Mitigation bypass in the Networking component. This vulnerability was fixed in Firefox 156, Firefox ESR 153.3, Thunderbird 156, and Thunderbird 153.3.
CVE-2026-94053 1 Apache 1 Mina Sshd 2026-09-30 9.1 Critical
Authentication bypass via LDAP injection in component sshd-ldap in Apache MINA SSHD versions 1.2.0 to 2.19.0 and 3.0.0-M1 to 3.0.0-M5. Apache MINA SSHD is a Java library for client-side and server-side SSH. The optional sshd-ldap component provides support for integrating password and publickey authentication on the server side with an LDAP server. sshd-ldap is an optional component. SSH servers implemented with Apache MINA SSHD are affected only if they use sshd-ldap and do configure it to be used for password of public key authentication. Other Apache MINA SSHD servers are not affected. Lack of escaping LDAP filter metacharacters enabled successful authentication with username "*" and password "*". Users are recommended to upgrade affected applications to version 2.20.0 or 3.0.0-M6, which fix this issue by properly escaping filter parameters according to RFC 4515.
CVE-2026-77185 1 Apache 1 Mina Sshd 2026-09-30 9.1 Critical
Authentication bypass in sshd-core in Apache MINA SSHD versions 2.0.0 to 2.19.0 and 3.0.0-M1 to 3.0.0-M5 for a certain (presumed rare) way to implement an SSH server. Apache MINA SSHD is a Java library for client- and server-side SSH. In the server part of the library, a mechanism to perform "asynchronous authentication" exists. A server implemented with Apache MINA SSHD must contain explicit code to make use of this feature. The implementation of this feature was flawed and could potentially lead to skipping checking the signature in public-key or hostbased authentication, or returning a wrong result. Users are recommended to upgrade to Apache MINA SSHD 2.20.0 or 3.0.0-M6, which fix the logic error and which additionally forbid the use of this "asynchronous authentication" mechanism with the public-key or hostbased authentication schemes: if used, the SSH session will be closed and the server will log an entry indicating that asynchronous authentication may be used only with password or keyboard-interactive authentication.
CVE-2026-59563 1 Zscaler 1 Zscaler-mcp-server 2026-09-28 4.6 Medium
Zscaler MCP Server versions 0.7.0 and 0.7.1 has an issue where HMAC confirmation tokens were not bound to the target resource identifier, allowing an MCP client or agent to replay a token generated for one resource to affect another resource of the same type. This issue is fixed in version 0.7.2.
CVE-2026-88837 2 Busybox, Redhat 3 Busybox, Hardened Images, Hummingbird 2026-09-25 6.5 Medium
BusyBox httpd treats yescrypt ($y$) password hashes as plaintext during Basic Authentication, inverting the authentication check.
CVE-2026-75973 2 Apache, Redhat 2 Tomcat, Hummingbird 2026-09-23 7.3 High
Improper Authentication vulnerability in Apache Tomcat. When Jakarta Authentication was configured with SimpleAuthConfigProvider as the default provider and multiple web application used that provider, the realm for the first web application to authenticate a request would be used for all web applications. This issue affects Apache Tomcat: from 11.0.0-M1 through 11.0.25, from 10.1.0-M1 through 10.1.59, from 9.0.0.M4 through 9.0.121. The following versions were EOL at the time the CVE was created but are known to be affected: from 8.5.0 through 8.5.100. Other unsupported versions may also be affected. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 11.0.26, 10.1.60, 9.0.122, which fixes the issue.
CVE-2026-90304 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-09-19 N/A
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ARM: 9484/1: enable interrupts when unhandled user faults are triggered PREEMPT_RT requires interrupts to be enabled when sending signals. When do_DataAbort()/do_PrefetchAbort() triggers unhandled user faults, that is `inf->fn()` return a non-zero value, and the interrupts are not enabled within the hook function, force_sig_fault() will be called with interrupts disabled. This can be triggered by user programs executing the bkpt instruction, with kernel config CONFIG_PERF_EVENTS=n. Enable interrupts in do_DataAbort()/do_PrefetchAbort() when unhandled user faults are triggered to fix the issue.
CVE-2026-85500 1 Team-alembic 1 Ash Authentication 2026-09-17 N/A
Authentication Bypass by Primary Weakness vulnerability in team-alembic AshAuthentication allows an unconfirmed user to obtain a session, defeating a mandatory email confirmation requirement. AshAuthentication.Strategy.Password.Actions.check_user/2 decides whether the attribute named by require_confirmed_with is set using a bare is_nil(Map.get(user, value)). When that attribute is not selected on the loaded record Map.get/2 returns %Ash.NotLoaded{}, and when a field policy denies it for the current actor it returns %Ash.ForbiddenField{}. Neither is nil, so the rejection branch is skipped and sign-i require_confirmed_with is enforced in two places, and neither holds in every configuration. sign_in_with_token and register are checked only inside AshAuthentication.Strategy.Password.Actions, not on the action itself, so any caller that invokes the action directly skips the check. An API layer such as AshGraphql or AshJsonApi invokes the action directly, so this applies to the default configuration. Where a check does run it compares the confirmation attribute against nil. That attribute holds %Ash.NotLoaded{} or %Ash.ForbiddenField{} when it sets select_by_default?: false, when an API layer narrows the read's select, or when a field policy hides it from the sign-in actor. Neither struct is nil, so those configurations read every user as confirmed. This issue affects ash_authentication: from 4.3.8 before 4.15.0 and from 5.0.0-rc.0 before 5.0.0-rc.14.
CVE-2026-35159 2026-09-17 5.3 Medium
Dell Client Platform BIOS contains an Authentication Bypass by Primary Weakness vulnerability. An unauthenticated attacker with physical access could potentially exploit this vulnerability, leading to Information Disclosure.
CVE-2026-85595 1 Traefik 1 Traefik 2026-09-16 9.8 Critical
Traefik versions before v2.11.55 and versions v3.0.0 through v3.7.10 contain an authentication bypass vulnerability in the digestAuth middleware where unknown usernames receive an empty secret instead of rejection. Attackers can compute a valid digest response using the empty secret and arbitrary credentials to bypass authentication on any digestAuth-protected route without a valid username or password.
CVE-2026-85596 1 Traefik 1 Traefik 2026-09-16 9.8 Critical
Traefik versions >= v3.7.0 and <= v3.7.10 contain an authentication bypass in the Kubernetes Ingress NGINX provider. The TLS option generated for an Ingress carrying the nginx.ingress.kubernetes.io/auth-tls-secret annotation was named after the Ingress namespace and name. As a result, two Ingress objects sharing the same host, the same client CA secret, and the same client-authentication mode produced two distinct TLS option names for that host. Traefik treats this as a TLS options conflict and falls back to the entry point's default TLS configuration, which does not request a client certificate, so a route configured with nginx.ingress.kubernetes.io/auth-tls-verify-client: "on" becomes reachable without a client certificate. Only the v3.7 line is affected; the issue is fixed in v3.7.11.
CVE-2026-8932 2 Curl, Haxx 2 Curl, Curl 2026-09-15 7.5 High
libcurl would reuse a previously created connection even when some mTLS config related option had been changed that should have prohibited reuse. libcurl keeps previously used connections in a connection pool for subsequent transfers to reuse if one of them matches the setup. However, some TLS settings related to client certificates were left out from the configuration match checks, making them match too easily. In particular options related to the private key.
CVE-2026-5545 2 Curl, Haxx 2 Libcurl, Curl 2026-09-15 6.5 Medium
libcurl might in some circumstances reuse the wrong connection when asked to do an authenticated HTTP(S) request after a Negotiate-authenticated one, when both use the same host. libcurl features a pool of recent connections so that subsequent requests can reuse an existing connection to avoid overhead. When reusing a connection a range of criteria must be met. Due to a logical error in the code, a request that was issued by an application could wrongfully reuse an existing connection to the same server that was authenticated using different credentials. An application that first uses Negotiate authentication to a server with `user1:password1` and then does another operation to the same server asking for any authentication method but for `user2:password2` (while the previous connection is still alive) - the second request gets confused and wrongly reuses the same connection and sends the new request over that connection thinking it uses a mix of user1's and user2's credentials when it is in fact still using the connection authenticated for user1...
CVE-2026-1965 2 Curl, Haxx 2 Curl, Curl 2026-09-15 6.5 Medium
libcurl can in some circumstances reuse the wrong connection when asked to do an Negotiate-authenticated HTTP or HTTPS request. libcurl features a pool of recent connections so that subsequent requests can reuse an existing connection to avoid overhead. When reusing a connection a range of criterion must first be met. Due to a logical error in the code, a request that was issued by an application could wrongfully reuse an existing connection to the same server that was authenticated using different credentials. One underlying reason being that Negotiate sometimes authenticates *connections* and not *requests*, contrary to how HTTP is designed to work. An application that allows Negotiate authentication to a server (that responds wanting Negotiate) with `user1:password1` and then does another operation to the same server also using Negotiate but with `user2:password2` (while the previous connection is still alive) - the second request wrongly reused the same connection and since it then sees that the Negotiate negotiation is already made, it sends the request over that connection thinking it uses the user2 credentials when it is in fact still using the connection authenticated for user1... The set of authentication methods to use is set with `CURLOPT_HTTPAUTH`. Applications can disable libcurl's reuse of connections and thus mitigate this problem, by using one of the following libcurl options to alter how connections are or are not reused: `CURLOPT_FRESH_CONNECT`, `CURLOPT_MAXCONNECTS` and `CURLMOPT_MAX_HOST_CONNECTIONS` (if using the curl_multi API).
CVE-2026-86207 1 N-able 1 N-central 2026-09-08 N/A
An authentication bypass in N-central < 2026.3 HF 3 leads to authentication bypass in internal only APIs
CVE-2026-16895 1 Metasploit 1 Metasploit Framework 2026-09-01 N/A
A logic vulnerability (fail-open condition) has been identified within the Metasploit Framework's JSON-RPC web service interface. When an exception occurs during the database health check (db.check) and the environment variable MSF_WS_JSON_RPC_API_TOKEN is not explicitly set, the application resets the internal state flag msf.auth_initialized to false. The ApiToken Warden authentication strategy misinterprets this false value as an indicator that authentication is not initialized or required, thereby granting unauthenticated local access to the JSON-RPC request dispatcher.
CVE-2026-81578 1 Papercut 2 Papercut Mf, Papercut Ng 2026-08-31 9.8 Critical
An improper access control vulnerability exists in the web management interface of PaperCut MF and PaperCut NG. Under specific conditions, unauthenticated remote requests targeting administrative functions can trigger backend actions prior to the completion of access validation checks. This allows an unauthenticated remote attacker to modify certain system configurations.
CVE-2026-16103 1 Redhat 7 Build Keycloak, Build Of Keycloak, Data Grid and 4 more 2026-08-31 4.3 Medium
A flaw was found in the keycloak-services component of Keycloak. This issue is an incomplete fix for CVE-2026-9798, where brute-force protection checks were added to the Client-Initiated Backchannel Authentication (CIBA) initiation handler but were omitted from the token redemption handler. This allows an attacker with valid client credentials to obtain access and refresh tokens for a user account that has been locked due to brute-force protection, provided the authentication request was started before the lockout occurred and was approved by the user.
