CVSS v3.1 |
| Insecure file permissions in the CodeCatalyst connection handler in AWS Toolkit for VS Code before 4.10.0 allowed local users to obtain CodeCatalyst bearer tokens via reading world-readable token cache files.
To mitigate this issue, users should upgrade to version 4.10.0 or later. |
| Incorrect default permissions in the Windows installer of Progressive Robot hMailServer 6.0.0 through 6.3.5 allow a local authenticated user to read the mail server's data. The installer created the data, log, temp, database and event folders and the hMailServer.INI configuration file with the permissions inherited from the installation folder, by default under Program Files, which give the local Users group read access. Any user who can sign in to the computer could read every stored message, the logs, the built-in database with the accounts' password hashes whenever the service is stopped, and the configuration file, including the database password, which is sealed only with the machine's DPAPI key and can be unsealed by any local account; with an external database that password gives full control of it. The Linux AppImage of 6.3.0 through 6.3.5 likewise created its per-user data folders readable by other local users. |
| A missing integrity verification vulnerability in the Windows client software for ClearPass Policy Manager could allow malicious users on a local instance to elevate their user privileges. A successful exploit could allow these users to execute attacker-supplied code with elevated privileges on the local system. |
| Velociraptor allows collection of VQL queries packaged into Artifacts from endpoints. These artifacts can be used to do anything and usually run with elevated permissions. To limit access to some dangerous artifact, Velociraptor allows for those to require high permissions like EXECVE to launch.
The `Windows.Sysinternals.SysmonLogForward` is a monitoring artifact used to forward sysmon events to the server. The artifact allows the user to specify an arbitrary binary path as a parameter, and did not enforce an additional required permission, allowing users with COLLECT_CLIENT permissions (normally given by the "Investigator" role) to collect it from endpoints and run a different binary program than the installed sysmon binary.
To successfully exploit this vulnerability the user must already have access to collect artifacts from the endpoint (i.e. have the COLLECT_CLIENT given typically by the "Investigator" role). |
| openssl_encrypt versions before 1.4.9 contain an insecure file permissions vulnerability in the desktop GUI that writes decrypted plaintext with world-readable default permissions. Attackers can read decrypted output files created by the GUI as unprivileged local users on multi-user systems. |
| IBM Concert 1.0.0 through 3.0.0 is vulnerable to improper access control which allows unauthorized modification of application files. |
| Froxlor through 2.3.10 does not enforce the mail.allow_external_domains policy in the EmailSender.add API command. When an administrator has enabled the allowed-sender feature but disabled external allowed-sender domains (mail.enable_allow_sender = 1, mail.allow_external_domains = 0), an authenticated customer with API access can still use EmailSender.add to register an arbitrary external sender address for their mailbox, which is stored despite the policy. This creates a bypass between the UI/administrator configuration and the API, and — where the generated mail configuration consumes the allowed-sender table — allows a customer to authorize sender identities outside their hosted domains, facilitating sender spoofing. Fixed in 2.3.12. |
| A container privilege escalation flaw was found in certain Ansible Automation Platform images. This issue arises from the /etc/passwd file being created with group-writable permissions during the build process. In certain conditions, an attacker who can execute commands within an affected container, even as a non-root user, can leverage their membership in the root group to modify the /etc/passwd file. This vulnerability allows an attacker to add a new user with any arbitrary UID, including UID 0, gaining full root privileges within the container. |
| Dell Command | Intel vPro Out of Band, versions prior to 4.7.2, contain an Incorrect Default Permissions vulnerability. A low privileged attacker with local access could potentially exploit this vulnerability, leading to Information Disclosure. |
| Dell Command | Integration Suite for System Center, versions prior to 6.7.2, contain an Incorrect Default Permissions vulnerability. A low privileged attacker with local access could potentially exploit this vulnerability, leading to Information Disclosure. |
| Incorrect default permissions in the installation directory of WatchDog Anti-Virus on Windows allow local, low-privileged users to modify, replace, or delete antivirus binaries and configuration files, because the installer grants the Users group Full Control over C:\Program Files (x86)\Watchdog Anti-Virus. This may disable antivirus protection or enable privileged code execution if modified binaries are loaded by an elevated WatchDog process. |
| In Eclipse Ankaios versions 0.1.0 through 1.0.2, the agent creates workload files and Control Interface named pipes (FIFOs) under a predictable path derived from the agent name and a hash of the workload's runtime configuration. If a directory or FIFO already exists at that path when the agent (re)starts, the agent reuses it based only on an existence and/or file-type check, without validating its owner or permissions. A local, unprivileged user with write access to the same base directory (by default under `$TMPDIR/ankaios`, e.g. shared `/tmp`) can pre-create this path hierarchy, including the two Control Interface FIFOs, before the agent starts. The agent then treats the attacker-owned FIFOs as the legitimate Control Interface for the targeted workload. The attacker can complete the Control Interface handshake and issue requests using that workload's configured `controlInterfaceAccess` permissions, allowing impersonation of the workload and, depending on its configured permissions, unauthorized reading and/or modification of the cluster's desired state. |
| Local privilege escalation due to insecure file permissions. The following products are affected: Acronis Backup plugin for cPanel & WHM (Linux) before build 1.9.3.1021, Acronis Backup extension for Plesk (Linux) before build 1.8.11.638, Acronis Backup plugin for DirectAdmin (Linux) before build 1.2.3.238. |
| Dell Repository Manager, versions prior to 3.5.2, contains an Incorrect Default Permissions vulnerability. A low privileged attacker with remote access could potentially exploit this vulnerability, leading to Elevation of privileges. |
| Nextflow is a DSL for data-driven computational pipelines. From 25.09.2-edge until 25.10.6 and 26.04.3, nextflow auth login writes Seqera Platform OIDC bearer tokens to ${NXF_HOME:-~/.nextflow}/seqera-auth.config through AuthCommandImpl.writeConfig in plugins/nf-tower/src/main/io/seqera/tower/plugin/auth/AuthCommandImpl.groovy without setting restrictive file permissions, allowing the default umask 022 to create the file with mode 0644. On a multi-user POSIX host, a local user who can traverse the victim's home directory can read seqera-auth.config and impersonate the victim against Seqera Platform within the token's scope. Single-user systems and headless CI runners that do not use the interactive login flow are not affected. This issue is fixed in 25.10.6 and 26.04.3. |
| Vendor could not replicate the vul, and reporter is unavailable to comment. |
| A potential improper permissions vulnerability was reported in the Lenovo Filez Client application that could allow a local authenticated user to escalate privileges. |
| Insecure Permission vulnerability in MBS-Solutions X-Serie Gateway firmware V6_00_05 allows the low-privileged service user to execute /usr/bin/tcpdump as root without a password. By leveraging the tcpdump -z option, an authenticated attacker can achieve arbitrary command execution. |
| YesWiki is a wiki system written in PHP. Prior to version 4.6.6, the {{erasespamedcomments}} wiki action (actions/EraseSpamedCommentsAction.php) accepts a suppr[] array from POST and deletes every wiki page whose tag appears in that array, with no authorization check anywhere in the action body or in the page-deletion path it invokes. Combined with YesWiki's allow-by-default action ACL model, any user who has page write access, which is the default for everyone (default_write_acl='*') on a fresh install can permanently delete arbitrary wiki pages, including the front page, admin pages, and pages owned by other users. This issue has been patched in version 4.6.6. |
| In Ignition 8.1.53 and earlier, the Gateway "Create Project Role(s)" setting shipped blank, which permitted any authenticated user to create projects (if they can execute gateway scripts). Ignition 8.1.54 restricts project creation to Designer sessions and no longer relies on this setting. The 8.3 series is not affected. |
